Infant Car Seats |
| If you want to bring home your baby, you will need a car seat and this is most often the first seat your baby will have. Designed specifically for newborns, the infant seat will come with a stay in car base and offer extra bases for additional cars. Parents have the advantage of securing the baby into the infant seat while they are in a safe, warm, environment and then placing the bucket and baby into the car base. The infant seat bucket will also drop into a stroller, with many stroller manufacturers accommodating different makes of car seats. Companies like Graco, Britax, Cybex, Peg Perego, and Teutonia all make infant seats and while the manufacturer will prominently display a seat’s weight capacity, it is the height that the child will reach first. While this seat is not often used past the first year, it is designed to provide the newborn with the maximum amount of safety as it was designed specifically for them.
